For many bowlers, tournaments are a source of excitement, but also potential anxiety. Effective visualization can decrease your nerves and help you prepare to bowl your best.
When preparing for an important tournament, picture yourself competing with as many relevant details as possible. Include details about the center, such as the settee area and masking units, and the other competitors you expect to see there.
Most importantly, visualize yourself competing and include the lines you might play, the balls you might use, and the success you’ll have. Doing this for a few minutes each day leading up to an event will help ease jitters, increase confidence, and improve performance.
