Bowling is a dynamic sport. With so many moving parts, achieving proper balance at the foul line can be difficult. Here are a few things you can do to improve your stability at the line:
- Strengthen your legs and core: Improving your poor balance isn’t always related to bowling skill. It might instead be about establishing a strong base through appropriate exercises to strengthen and mobilize your legs and core.
- Work on your timing: In many cases, bad balance at the line is the result of timing issues that cause poor mechanics.
- Find your CG: Your center of gravity is near your belly button. This must be centered over your slide foot. It can look different for different bowlers, so find your ideal finish position and work to make it consistent.
