Track’s newest release is a throwback to an old Track favorite, the Heat. Both the original and the first remake were poured in San Antonio before the Ebonite International buyout of Track. This new Track Heat remake uses the same color scheme and a similar core design to achieve the same motion as its ancestors. The new core is called the Modified Tri-Core. This shape matches the RG of the original, but it has a lower differential to compensate for the more aggressive coverstock. DR-5 Pearl is a new coverstock for Track. Versions of the Delayed Reaction (DR) cover have been seen on the Hx series of balls from the previous naming system, but this is the first time we’ve seen DR-5 Pearl.
The new Heat was best for us on our medium volume test pattern. All three testers saw the Heat glide through the front
