The Cyborg is Track’s latest upper-mid performance ball, joining the Legion and Legion Solid at this price point. It uses a new coverstock called QR-7 Hybrid that is a step down from the QR-9 covers used in the Paradox line. It comes out of the box at a sanded 3000 Abralon finish. This new cover is paired with a new core design, as well. The asymmetrical Cyborg core has an RG on the low end of the spectrum at 2.48″ that produces moderate flare potential with its total differential of 0.043″. It also has a fairly low intermediate differential of 0.007″, which is approximately half of the 0.015″ offered by the I-Core 2.0 from the two Paradox balls.
The Cyborg was at its best on our heavy oil test pattern. All three testers saw their Cyborgs offer plenty of traction on this pattern with the box finish. Each tester was about three boards farther right than they were with their Paradoxes. They saw the same ...
