As you can tell from all the comparisons, the 716C is Track’s replacement of what many considered to be their prime benchmark ball, the 715C. The 716C offers a stronger ball reaction in the oil with the new Ump Gen5C solid coverstock. The core was modified slightly from the previous use of the Robot design in the 718A.
This core/cover combination matched up best with our fresh medium test pattern. While all three testers had an above average look on this pattern, Cranker was especially fond of his reaction. Shots missed right of target recovered back to the pocket consistently. The solid cover let shots missed inside create enough traction to still kick out the corner.
