Storm has offered increased performance at every line they have in the product catalog. The newest addition to the Ice line takes a traditional pancake weight block and surrounds it with a urethane veneer. The Polar Ice’s urethane cover is weaker than the urethane shell used on the Natural and Natural Pearl. The result is a weaker, tamer ball for dry lane patterns.
Everything about this ball pointed us toward using it on our shortest test pattern. We had the most success being straighter through the front of the lane. The straighter we kept it through the heads, the better it carried. When we leaked it right, only Cranker had a chance to carry the 10
