The Pitch Black is the newest addition to the Thunder line for Storm products. This ball features a new urethane coverstock, as well as a new core. The core has a higher RG and lower differential than the Turbine core that was used in the Natural series of bowling balls. The coverstock is also a new solid urethane formulation that provides a truer urethane motion than any in the Natural line provided.
This ball’s type of motion gave our team of testers the most success on our dry test pattern. All three testers were very close to each other with their ball paths on this pattern. Because the urethane cover provides such an early and smooth reaction, all three players were going more direct near the track area of the lane.
