The IQ is the newest Storm ball to introduce a brand new coverstock. While the market has been used to Storm building and naming coverstocks around their R2S version, the IQ uses a solid formulation called PFT. The PFT cover cleared the front slightly better than the last solid shelled ball at this price point, the original Marvel.
The 3000 grit finish of this new cover gave our test staff the best reaction on our heavy oil test pattern. We found the IQ to push easier through the front than the Marvel, but it was not as clean as any of the balls in the Thunder line. We also saw an increase in movement at the breakpoint and
