The Solaris Blackout is the first release from Seismic for the new bowling season. This new release features the same core shape found in the two previous balls in the Solaris line. The densities have been altered to help lower the differential while maintaining the lower RG. This creates a ball motion that revs up fairly well, creating a controlled motion at the back end of the lane. The polished factory finish will give it the length necessary on medium and drier oil patterns.
All three of our testers found the Blackout to match up best with our medium test pattern. On this pattern, we were able to start closer to the friction without having to worry about it overreacting when it sensed friction. The length allowed us to stay in the same area of the lane longer than we usually can. Seldom did we find the Blackout
