The No Rules introduces both a new coverstock and a new core design to the Roto Grip family. The asymmetric Chaotic weight block has a moderate RG of 2.51″ that helps keep this ball from burning up with such a rough box finish. Its strong 0.053″ differential and 0.018″ intermediate differential give it more than five inches of track flare potential in the oil. The No Rules uses a new solid coverstock called Micro DNA that comes out of the box at a 2000 grit sanded finish, giving it no shortage of traction for combating heavy volumes of oil. What we saw from this cover is that it was closer in back end reaction to the Menace and Sinister, while offering as much total hook as the Hyper Cell.
The No Rules was excellent on our heavy oil test pattern. Its rough box finish had no trouble picking up the lane early and giving us all the hook we wanted on this slick condition. We saw this ball go just a tad longer than the Hyper Cell, but not as long as the Critical. We also saw more back end reaction than both of those balls.
