The Critical is Roto Grip’s newest entry into their HP3 lineup. This ball brings the Triliptic weight block from the Theory line down into the HP3 price point. This strong asymmetrical core design is wrapped by the 67MH Hybrid coverstock, which we saw in its solid formulation on the Hysteria from last year. This hybrid cover comes out of the box sanded with a 3000 grit pad.

The Critical’s rough cover and strong core was great for our testers on our heavy oil test pattern. Tweener and Stroker both had lots of miss room on shots left of target, as the heavy concentration of oil in the middle of the lane was still not enough to keep the Critical from chewing through it to get back
