The Primal TV4 offers the same Thrust core that is found in other balls with the Motiv “T” name, including the TX1 and TR2. The cover on this ball is a new formulation called Vicious Pearl Reactive. The 2000 Abralon with Power Gel polished cover, combined with the low RG Thrust core, gives this ball a strong read of the midlane with a consistent breakpoint and back end reaction. The midlane on this pattern allowed the TV4 to store its energy for a strong, consistent back end reaction. Cranker had his best reaction starting the ball deeper in the oil and sending it out around the 5th board down lane. Both Tweener and Stroker had their best reactions playing a smaller five board swing. All three had excellent carry playing their respective parts of the lane.

On our sport pattern we wanted to use the Primal TV4 with its box finish before changing it to match up to the other test patterns. The Primal TV4 gave all three testers much more room than they usually see on this pattern. The core and cover combination of the...
