The new Chainsaw S.O.S isn’t simply a new colored Chainsaw for Lane #1. The first one used a coverstock called “Skid/Hook” and this one uses a pearl version of the ION coverstock. Although they changed the cover, Lane #1 stayed with the Endcut Doomsday core. This core/cover combination creates more length than the original with a touch stronger response to the friction down lane.
The Chainsaw S.O.S. matched up best with our dry test pattern. All three testers experienced easy length from the pearl ION cover with a controllable motion at the back end from the low flaring core design.
