The Taboo Blue/Silver is the second ball released in the Taboo series from Hammer. This one uses the same core shape as the previous with a change in the cover. Instead of the solid Grand Theft cover, the change is to a new pearlized cover called Grand Theft II. This one comes sanded at a 3000 grit Abralon finish that is higher than the first Taboo. The combination of this core and cover creates a ball motion that offers the strong midlane roll of the Taboo combined with an aggressive move at the breakpoint. The overall hook potential of the Taboo Blue/Silver will match up best with oilier conditions for the majority of bowlers. Those with lower rev rates will have success on some medium patterns as well.
All three of our testers found the box finish of the Taboo Blue/Silver to perform the best on our oily test pattern.
