Everything on the Spike is new for Hammer. Even though the GTR3 cover has been used before, the Spike offers it in a pearlized version and it surrounds a brand new high RG, high differential core shape. This combination of elements produces a ball that wastes zero energy getting to the breakpoint.

A ball with this type of reaction was best for us on our medium test pattern. We liked it there just a tad bit more than on our dry pattern. All three players saw the Spike clear the front with no effort, then make a big turn when it got out of the pattern.
