The Bad Ass is the first high performance Hammer release to utilize a symmetrical weight block since the Sauce line in 2008 and 2009. Since that time, the Jigsaw, the Taboo, and the Blood lines have all used high flaring asymmetrical cores. The Bad Ass core is a throwback in shape to the weight block that was found in the original Blue Hammer. That said, this core is slightly modified, with different densities to achieve the desired RG and differential. The coverstock is a brand new formulation called Juiced Solid. This new cover comes out of the box with a new three-step finishing process that applies 500 Abralon, 2000 Abralon, and finally Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish. All of these elements come together to give bowlers a nice reaction on medium volume patterns.
