The Freakshow is the first of this summer’s moderately priced releases from DV8. This ball uses a new symmetrical core known as the Freakshow Symmetric that has a low RG of 2.481″ and a fairly high differential of 0.054″. This weight block is wrapped by a new coverstock called Class 6V Pearl Reactive. The box finish is a pretty shiny 500 SiaAir with both Royal Compound and Royal Polish, giving this ball very easy length on light to medium oil patterns.
We started on our medium test pattern, where Cranker had the best reaction. The Freakshow’s glossy box finish easily pushed to the breakpoint, allowing him to play straighter up the lane, almost directly up the second arrow. Tweener and Stroker were outside of him with their feet, but they were getting their ball to the same spot at the range finder downlane.
