The Nitrous is the newest entry-level reactive release for Columbia 300. This line will replace the Deep Freeze from last season. The Nitrous uses a new symmetrical core design that offers a lower RG and slightly lower differential than the Deep Freeze. The Nitrous also uses a new coverstock that will give bowlers more back end reaction and more total hook than the Deep Freeze. Like many entry-level balls, it is offered in a number of different color schemes. All three of our testers used the Silver/Black version of the Nitrous.
The Nitrous was best for us on our medium test pattern. Tweener needed to make sure he didn’t get too fast with his ball speed or his Nitrous wouldn’t read the pattern and would skid past the breakpoint.
