900 Global rolls another ball into their Tour Preferred lineup with the release of the X. This ball is the third solid reactive added to this line, joining the Dark Matter and the Chemical X. The X uses the S57 Solid coverstock and pairs it with the same Pod Symmetric core design that was in the Chemical X. This low RG, low differential core will get the X started quickly, but with a smoother side-to-side motion as it makes its way to the pins.
We actually saw quite a bit of variation in track flare among our three test balls. Stroker saw right around three inches of flare, Tweener was between three and four inches, and Cranker only saw about one inch of flare. These differences are the result of the standard layouts we use in our testers’ balls, with Stroker and Tweener using stronger pin distances and flare-increasing extra holes, and Cranker using a slightly weaker pin
